Winter

Today's my birthday. I received 2 beautiful bouquets of flowers at work, people said some really nice words to me, though it still feels kinda sad, don't know why.

Our teacher of Japanese said that in Japan people don't pay much attention to birthdays. Here in Russia birthday is supposed to be one of the most important holidays for a person during a year. And it's a good thing to invite friends and family to a party or to a restaurant. At work you are to treat your colleagues with something tasty, so finally birthday turns out to be rather costly for the one, who celebrates it.

Two days ago the real winter started. It snowed heavily and the temperature went below 0. I love winter for snow and long nights, and I'm happy, that it finally came. Later I'll make some pics of winter outside Moscow, 'cause it's really beautiful.

  1. Congratulation! lenin-san!

In Japan, younger people celebrate their birthday each other, but older or elder people, including me, do not so much.

I am looking forward to your next article about winter outside Moscow.

  2. Thank you bike-san!

I'll try to take the photos on weekend and post them here, unfortunately I'm coming home late these days, so it's already too dark to take some.
