It's an anime that's finally is ready to be released. What's so special about? Its story is made by russians, but the artwork is done by japanese Studio 4°C. It's been several years since they anounced it and they even had the first trailer made for a PV of a russian rap band (which done the OST for the anime) in 2005. The plot depicts a special squad of red soviet army during the WWII fighting against the fasists.
The first show of the anime was 3 days ago in Cannes. I hope I can watch it soon. Try their web page (link is in the heading), it's really fun.

Thank you for good information. I have never known "First Squad" and "Studio 4℃". If I have a chance, I would like to watch it.
ReplyDeleteOk, I'm not an otaku but I watch anime from time to time^^ And the studio produced several pieces I liked a lot, though I believe they are not mainstream^^ First Squad may be important only for russian fans of anime, 'cause it's the first and only project of the kind. I'm not really sure it would be that good, but at least it's great as an idea.
